Daddy, a Native Hawaiian elder, is flown by medical transport from his home island to the large hospital in Honolulu. Though quite ill, he is strong enough to express his bigotry to his LGBTQ roommate. In the overnight hours, when the two have only their pain and each other, they both begin to heal in unexpected ways.
