Yurie Ono is a dancer/choreographer born and raised in Japan. She started dancing at the age of four with ballet. Her style changed to street dance when she joined the SIVA dance team at Obihiro University. Over the years, she continuously learned different styles such as street jazz, hip-hop, waacking, house, locking, and breaking. She won the GATSBY Dance Competition in Hokkaido and later joined the Chibi Unity dance team in Niigata. After moving to NYC in 2018, she began deepening her knowledge of street styles and exploring contemporary dance as a new art form. She joined A Rhythm Company and became the co-director within the year. She led the team to victory in 2020 and also achieved top 5 in the Fabulous Waacking Battle in 2023. Her performance experience includes a center role on the red carpet at the Columbus Day Parade, which is broadcasted in real-time on ABC TV, NYC Pride Parade, and Japan Parade, all of which were covered not only by local/national media but also international media.
