Madeline Sayet is a Mohegan playwright and director who has has been honored as a Forbes 30 Under 30, TED Fellow, CT Magazine 40 Under 40, Native American 40 Under 40, and recipient of The White House Champion of Change Award from President Obama. Her plays include: Where We Belong, The Fish, Up and Down the River, Antigone Or And Still She Must Rise Up, Daughters of Leda, The Neverland, and As Real As We Are. Her play Where We Belong recently completed a national tour produced by Woolly Mammoth Theater Company in association with the Folger Shakespeare Library. Its been seen at such venues as: The Public Theater, The Goodman Theater, Seattle Rep, The Folger Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Shakespeare’s Globe. She is a Clinical Associate Professor at ASU with the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (ACMRS), and served six years as the Executive Director of the Yale Indigenous Performing Arts Program, creating new programs, awards, and opportunities for emerging Native Theater artists. www.madelinesayet.com
