Caddo and Euchee
Diana’s life purpose is rooted in what she gives thanks for: her identity as a woman, her role as a mother, and her heritage as Caddo and Euchee. She is a gardener, nurturing both plants and people, and a warrior who speaks for those who cannot speak for themselves. As the eldest daughter of the eldest daughter, she carries a legacy of strength. A citizen of the Caddo Nation, born out of the Euchee Nation. On her Caddo side, she is Wolf Clan of the Hanai Band of the Hasinai Confederacy and on her Euchee side she is Deer Clan of the North Arbor (Peace Arbor) of Polecat Grounds. Diana’s career of service began with Fort Worth ISD’s American Indian Education Program and ended at the Caddo Nation. She serves on boards including University of Texas @ Arlington’s Native American Advisory Board, Friends of Caddo Mounds, and Cherokee Gadugi Texas. She volunteers with MMIW-TX Rematriate where she led the nonprofit’s 501(c)(3) application. Diana is a core team member of the Fort Worth Paddock Park Public Art Project. Diana is mother to three by birth and many more by heart.
