Dahyun Kim (she/they) is a dancer, choreographer, and educator from Seoul, South Korea who is currently based in NYC. They have recently received their MA & MFA in Dance & Dance Education in Tisch & Steinhardt NYU. A passionate and versatile mover, Dahyun has performed for esteemed choreographers such as Jesse Obremski, Ronald K Brown, Stephanie Saywell, Anna Caffareli and Crimson Moeller, and more. As a choreographer, they have been expanding their works to reflect their Korean heritage. They use their artistry to spread awareness and help the audience unlearn stereotypes that subconsciously exist about Korean culture. This can be seen in her works, "Joy" (2022), "Depth of Water" (2023), and "Chohui" (2024). A firm believer that dance is for everyone, Dahyun lives by the quote, "Life may not be the party that we hoped for, but while we are here we should dance."
